10th Northeast Festival 2022 Delhi

People have been educated to appreciate and respect the rich and varied traditions of the Northeast. As a result, there is less bigotry and xenophobia directed at Northeast Indians.”

The publication Know Your North East will also make its debut at the festival. It is intended to be given in schools and institutions to inform and motivate people to discover and recognise the rich legacy of the Northeast.

One of the best ways to learn about a culture’s newness is through its cuisine. In order to promote intercultural understanding and interaction, there will be 50 food vendors dishing up sizzling hot food from Northeast India as well as from other areas of Delhi-NCR. Starting with the sanpiau, a rice porridge topped with either veggies or meat, individuals who are interested in Northeastern cuisine should move on to the jadoh, a dish made with rice and meat from the Khasi tribe of Meghalaya. One of the playing bands is Innocent Eyes from Manipur, along with Traffic Jam and Bipul Chetri from Darjeeling, Sikkim, Psychedelic Effect from Nagaland, Taba Chake from Arunachal Pradesh, and Jessie Lyndoh from Meghalaya. Klanjan, Flying Cupid, and the poster boys Zubeen Garg and Achurja Barpatra are also from Assam. The band When Chai Met Toast also arrives from Kerala.
